USA Today produced a Flash map with a section called “Topography of Faith.” I was having a fair enough time seeing the religious composition of each state until I moused over North Dakota… or, I mean the Dakota Territory since they combined the stats for the two states. I’m neither a hawk nor a pacifist, but this type of defense spending and corruption infuriates me. Man, how many pet projects exist now that serve no real purpose? I shudder thinking about it. And I wonder how many other social service programs, education needs go unfunded because of the need to “protect Americans.”
